They should have known the guy was bad from the moment he came out with that hogwash about being a beekeeper to justify the hood over his head! He must have slipped away from her busty partner, Brook!

When later the lovely Brook goes searching for her, she eventually is drawn to strange noises in the attic and before she knows it, she'll be in there making those noises too!
