Description:
Kayla Soni had just moved into her new apartment in Hollywood when we took these. She was still waiting for the previous tenants to move out so the place was in disarray. There was writing on the walls, boxes of clothes and other belongings, and more Betty Crocker cake and cookie mix than you can imagine. The previous tenants workedran a medicinal marijuana dispensary. Anyways, Kayla Soni was fun and made the best of her temporary digs. She exceeded my expectations and was generous in displaying her wild nature.

Krista Ellman is big on music. She loves listening, driving, and of course, dancing to it. We took these at my buddy, Evan_s place, who composes tracks for commercials and movies. In his wonderful generocity, he allowed me to photograph Krista in his home studio. Krista was impressed by the complex equipment and was a bit afraid to touch anything. In the end, the musical theme brought out the best in her. She started shaking her stuff and showing off her flexible talents. Leg warmers and heels, I never thought you_d be such a good combo.

This is the second part of photos from my last meeting with Olivia Pelton. I include here some of the headshots that I snapped for her audition, I believe she was going for the main role in a Mamma Mia remake (she also has a great voice). What I love most about photographing Olivia is her sense of humor and expressive ability. She is not afraid to show a wide range of emotion in front of the camera. Sweet, sexy, goofy, serious, you name it, she can pull it off, all while looking quite tempting. I think of Olivia as the cute girl in the high school drama club with a taste for adventure.

Halloween is my second favorite holiday. Luckily, I met Gabrielle Klein at the perfect time. She is visiting LA for a short while (from Utah) and had never been to the annual Halloween _parade_ in West Hollywood. It is estimated that half a million people invade Santa Monica Blvd. on this evening. I proposed to Gabrielle that we scrounge together a costume and go out to take photos. The first 52 photos in the gallery are from this year and the rest are from my archives of previous outings. Do not fear, you will be seeing more of Gabrielle without the makeup and even without the wardrobe Hey, cut us some slack. It was a chilly October night.

I flew into Phoenix, picked up my crappy rental car and then headed to Aubrey Snow_s to photograph her youthful vibrancy. We decided that her older Infinti was a better backdrop than my economy-grade rental, even if her G35 had grown a little long in the tooth. Sometimes I wonder if these women comprehend the power that they possess. As I my own tooth grows longer, I realize that beauty can move mountains. I took psychedelic mushrooms once. A friend gave them to me for my birthday. I ate a few on a random weekday while I was supposed to be editing for the site. Needless to say, I didn_t get much done that afternoon. I listened to some music and then got stuck watching videos on YouTube. One minute I felt like going out for a run or maybe dancing in the sun and then seconds later I wanted to bury myself into the couch. I was on a physical and emotional rollercoaster of which I had little control. I felt gross to be honest. But I still may experiment again. I hear nature is a more ideal setting. Vivi Kuanas doesn_t need drugs. She is a trip to be around sober as a judge.
