In the original series, the Mayans were rivals to the Sons of Anarchy, but the gangs eventually formed an uneasy partnership. Sutter_s keeping tight-lipped on the details, but one thing_s for sure: he certainly has his hands full He_s been busy producing the upcoming FX medieval drama The Bastard Executioner, so who knows when the Sons spinoff will see the light of day. Stephen Colbert_s looking to get a boost from A-list talent when he debuts as host of The Late Show next month Colbert will have George Clooney as his very first guest in the premiere. The rest of the first week is packed with other big names including Scarlett Johansson, Amy Schumer, Kendrick Lamar and Stephen King Colbert takes the reins on CBS starting September 8thAnd if you think people are getting tired of zombies, think again Fear The Walking Dead, AMC_s new spinoff series to smash hit The Walking Dead, broke cable ratings records when it debuted on Sunday. The 90 minute premiere pulled in 10.1 million viewers, easily surpassing the previous record of 7.7 million set by TNT_s Raising The Bar in 2008. Fear will have a six-episode run in season 1, and AMC has already given it the green light for a second season. Speaking of the Walking Dead, season 6 is just around the corner and AMC wants to get us excited for another round of adventures with Rick and the gang. Here_s a preview of what you can expect. And here_s another example of social media gone RIGHT. This adorable photo of two hugging dogs was put up on Facebook by the Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. I_m Andrea Sully, if you were one of the MILLIONS of Citibank customers between 2003 and 2012, you MIGHT be owed some cash. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has ordered the bank to pay 700 MILLION dollars for overcharging account holders. The payout affects around 9 million people who were duped into credit card add-on services. Some customers were even charged for services they didn_t actually receive. Current account holders will automatically receive a credit on their statement while ex-customers will receive a check in the mail.It_s another stellar quarter for Apple as the tech giant posted RECORD results. Profits increased by a whopping 38 percent to 10 point 7 BILLION. iPhone sales were up 35 percent from a year ago, while the number of Macs sold, rose 9 percent. Sales of iPads dropped but Apple still managed to sell nearly 11 million units. Sales figures from the Apple watch weren_t disclosed, but overall, CEO Tim Cook called it an amazing quarter.Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg is now the 9th richest person on the planet. Zuckerberg_s swelling bank account is all thanks to the surging price of Facebook stock. The social media juggernaut hit an an all time high of 100 dollars recently. That_s an INCREDIBLE rise of more than 160 PERCENT from its 2012 initial public offering. In total, Zuckerberg is worth an estimated 43 billion, while Facebook_s value tops 275 billion. Franco will actually be pulling TRIPLE duty on the show-he_ll also be a co-producer.Speaking of HBO, the new series Westworld is a reboot of a 1973 movie about an adult-themed amusement park. No this is NOT a joke. 26-year old Daniel Boria pulled the stunt to promote his cleaning products company. Boria planned on using his parachute to land at the Calgary Stampede fairgrounds, but was blown off course and instead landed in a field a few miles away. Police were waiting for him when he landed and he_s been charged with one count of mischief. No doubt Borea feels like the night he spent in jail was well worth the publicity he received. There_s trouble a-brewin_ on Reddit So far more than 200-thousand Redditors have signed an online petition calling for the resignation of Ellen Pao, the site_s interim chief executive. The reason? Ms. Pao gave the heave-ho to Victoria Taylor, the uber-popular director of talent behind the site_s well-known Ask Me Anything subreddit. As retaliation, hundreds of other subreddit pages on topics including science, gaming, history, and cinema were shut down in protest. Now a petition at Change.org has garnered hundreds of thousands of signatures to see Pao removed before she destroys the Reddit community. Speaking of protests, here_s one that_s a bit more visual in nature. These jarring photos have been shared thousands of times on Facebook and Twitter. They_re aimed at stopping Spain_s annual running of the bulls, which began on Monday at the famous San Fermin festival in Pamplona. Hundreds of animal activists - many from PETA - lay down outside the entrance to the Pamplona bullring painted red or wearing horns. They say the practice abuses and harms bulls, which is kinda hard to argue. The US destroyed Japan at the Women_s World Cup, and now the two nations will clash in a much HIGHER-stakes battle, GIANT ROBOTS. Japanese robotics company Suidobashi Heavy Industries has accepted an invite from America_s MegaBots, which was put out via viral video. Suidobashi wasn_t intimidated by the American firepower. The company_s founder says giant robots are a key part of Japanese culture. Which okay, kinda weird but sure. He also promised to up the ante. No word yet on WHEN this awesome robot clash will happen, but we will definitely keep you postedAnd if you_ve been on Twitter this week you may have noticed that the site_s now asking for your birthday info. The site_s trying to lure users in by promising to send them animated balloons on their big day, which sounds pretty great. Thanks ladies Over the past week I_ve interviewed DOZENS of athletes who_ve come from far and wide to compete in the Toronto Pan Am Games. But there_s one type of athlete I_ve encountered more than any other: handball players. Weird right? I didn_t even know handball was a sport until a few days ago. It_s played all over the world, but it_s especially popular in South America. If you_ve never seen it before it_s a sort of mix between basketball and soccer - and lots of fun to watch Let_s get to know a few of the games_ handball players a little better, shall we? What a bunch of great guys And here_s a fun fact about the game I learned. The players use this sticky glue on their hands to get a better grip on the ball. Those post-game handshakes must be NASTY. All right, now I_ll send you over to Carli Bei for another Pan Am update.Thanks Eila, Thursday saw a first at the Pan Am Games: the debut of golf 64 athletes are taking part in this year_s competition, with a mix of pro and amateur players. The Pan Am debut is also a dry run for the return of the sport to the Olympic Games next year in Rio. It_s been 112 years since golf was last included in the summer games. The Pan Am tournament kicked off Thursday and will run through the weekend.And the petition against Kanye West performing at the closing ceremonies is gaining steam. More than 35-thousand people have now added their signatures. The announcement of Kanye_s performance thrilled most athletes, but Torontonians are upset organizers didn_t select a Canadian artist to represent the host city during the event_s final night.
