It completes Pasolini's famous trilogy, based on the adaptations of world classics (The Decameron, The Canterbury Tales, The Flower of a Thousand and One Nights). "Flower of a Thousand and One Nights" (Cannes Festival Prize) is based on famous Arabic fairy tales. At the same time, Pasolini chose mainly love stories. Love in his film is an ardent passion, an obsession. There are not many films in the world cinema, where love was portrayed so beautifully, poetically and sensually.
As in the previous parts of the trilogy, Pasolini shot mostly little-known and even non-professional actors, whose unstamped performance gave special credibility to the screen spectacle ... At the same time, he remained loyal to his favorite actors Franco Citti and Ninetto Davoli.
