Description: A racecar driver and a pop singer, both successful at what they do but equally unfulfilled by it all, meet and eventually begin a romance. Chased by tabloids, they attempt to use love as the vehicle to outrace their own self-destructive impulses and escape tragedy. The movie was inspired by real life test driver Yukio Fukuzawa, who on 12 February 1969 lost control of his Toyota 7 at Fuji Speedway near Nakahinata, Japan and fatally smashed into a signpost.
