The patient will have her vision temporarily obscured and a mouth guard will be used for safety. To ensure immobility, she will be gently secured in a straitjacket and carefully transported in a wheelchair to receive her treatment. Once in the treatment room, she will be securely fastened to a padded table, and electrodes will be attached to her feet. The patient will then receive a series of carefully administered electrical impulses, which may be accompanied by mild physical sensations.
