She tied the necktie around her neck, feeling the coolness of the silk against her skin. She closed her eyes and imagined herself floating away, released from the pain and heartache that had consumed her.
But as she tightened the tie, she felt a strange sensation. The tie seemed to tighten on its own, as if it had a will of its own. She struggled to breathe as the tie tightened around her neck, cutting off her air supply.
As she struggled to break free, she felt the tie tangle around the blades of the garbage disposal, adding to the stranglehold it had on her neck. She felt herself slipping away, the world fading to black as she was consumed by the pain and despair that had driven her to this point.
