La vouivre (1989)
The First World War ends and Arsene Muselier, who was considered dead, returns to his native village. During this time, the number of men here has noticeably decreased, leaving mostly old people and children. The summer turned out to be hot and vipers began to be spotted everywhere in large numbers. Some of the villagers began to say that it was Vuivra, an immortal creature in female form, who had returned.
