Darby cuffs are great! Impractical to put on to a struggling captive, which is why modern "slap-through" handcuffs have replaced them. But even though they are heavy,
the rounded bar containing the lock mechanism and the heavier duty "claw" part mean that they are a lot more comfortable to wear whilst still being every bit as confining
and annoying for the captive. And unlike modern handcuffs which you can unlock with a paper clip if you know what you are doing, Darby cuffs need a proper screw-in key.
