In Bulgaria, an Israeli tourist bus was the target of a suicide bomber at Burgas airport near the Black Sea. Israeli government officials say they already know who the culprit is. And if correct, there could be massive repercussions on the international scene. Eila Adams has been tracking the story and joins us now with the details. What_s going on Eila? Erica, 7 people were killed and 34 others were injured in the blast. Israel has sent in medical aircrews to bring the victims home. The Bulgarian government says the attack was carried out by a man with false US documents. According to Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak, Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah is responsible for the incident, in a plot backed by Iran. Barak says the bombing is eerily similar to other recent strikes on Israeli targets in Thailand, India, and Kenya. In an ominous statement late Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel will quote respond forcefully to Iranian terror. Meanwhile the US government is urging its citizens to exercise extra caution while traveling abroad. The State Department has issued a warning for potential dangers in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. American travelers are warned to be careful using public transportation, particularly on ferries and other maritime vessels. That likely has something to do with recent pirate attacks in Yemen, Algeria, and Somalia. Other potential targets include high-profile sporting events, hotels, and restaurants. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia sat down with CNN_s Piers Morgan for an exclusive interview. Naturally, the ruling on Obamacare came up n Scalia voted against it, but his usually conservative colleague John Roberts was the swing vote in upholding the controversial law. But Scalia had Roberts and his fellow justices backs, saying he was OFFENDED by criticism on how they ruled. He also downplayed reports that tensions ran high during the deliberation process, saying so-called sources that leaked information didn_t have all the facts. He didn_t discuss any current cases before the court but mentioned some past decisions n like his belief that Roe V Wade should be overturned. He was declared the winner of last week_s run-off, over former Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq (AH-mehd shah-FEEK), with just under 52-percent of the vote. Mursi gave a televised address where he gave thanks to the protesters who triggered the ouster of former leader Hosni Mubarak (HOHS-nee moo-BAH-rahk). His election was hailed by leaders around the world. We move now to Syria and Turkey, where tensions are escalating between the 2 countries after Syria was accussed of shooting down a Turkish fighter jet on Friday. Guest anchor Laura has been monitoring this developing story and jpins us now with the latest. What_s going on Laura?LE) Rachelle, Turkey has called on NATO to hold talks regarding the shooting down of a Turkish warplane by Syrian forces. Turkey insists that the F4 Phantom was in international airspace when it was shot down. Syria claims that the jet was in Syrian airspace and that they had no idea it was Turkish. They also say they dispatched their navy immediately to help rescue the crew members. But that_s not appeasing Turkey or their NATO allies, who condemned the act. Turkey has invoked Article 4 of NATO_s charter, which says they can consult with their allies if their security is being threatened.But that_s not the only source of tension between the two nations.At least 30 Syrian military figures have reportedly defected into Turkey. According to reports, a general, 2 colonels (KUR-nuls), and dozens more were part of a group of around 200 people who crossed the border into Turkey. They join over 33-thousand refugees that have fled into Turkey since the Syrian uprising began last year. There have been a small but steady stream of defections by the military, but this marks the most at any one time. Turkey has always openly supported Syrian defectors Rachelle.RW) A general defecting is pretty substantial but he wasn_t the first was he? LE) As a matter of fact he wasn_t. The Turks claim that about a dozen generals have defected to date. RW) And after this incident with the Turkish jet, I bet there_s a steady stream of defections in the days and weeks to come. Reason being, if he loses his home state of Michigan, insiders believe the momentum will clearly swing in Santorum_s favour. We_ll have all the results and analysis from the Tuesday polls in our election segment called Power Play on Wednesday. It_s been nearly two years since the Deepwater Horizon disaster ravaged the Gulf of Mexico, leaving one of the world_s biggest oil spills in its wake. Now at long last, a settlement may be on the way. With more on this story we_ll go to Peyton Priestley. PP) Vic, although it_s far from a guarantee, there are some positive signs an agreement could be made soon. The biggest indicator comes from the Louisiana federal court where the long awaited trial on civil damages has been postponed 1 week so negotiations can continue. Both Haliburton and BP are among the defendants, with each having set aside billions of dollars for the potential settlement. If the case goes to trial, BP could pay up to 17 billion in civil penalties alone. PP) And over in Mexico, 22 Carnival Cruise Line passengers were robbed by bandits during a sightseeing tour in Puerto Vallarta PWAIR-toe vy-AR-tah. Although there were no reports of injuries, the unknown assailants made off with cash, valuables and passports. A Carnival spokesman says the passengers will be fully reimbursed as soon as possible. The news comes in the wake of a travel advisory from the US government warning against visiting all or parts of 14 Mexican states. Carnaval is no longer offering the jungle tour where the theft took place. Vic? VS) This has got to be the last thing the cruise ship industry wants to hear right now. VS) No thanks to Pakistan who they_re STILL trying to secure safe passage from.ES) Officials can say thanks but NO THANKS now that they_ve struck a deal with three other central Asian nations that should help them get their equipment home safe and sound.VS) Here_s the latest.1. VS) US and NATO authorities have cut a deal with Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan for a secure access route on equipment headed to Europe. Pakistan_s roads, which had been used for the majority of the mission, have been closed since an accidental NATO airstrike on Pakistani forces a few months ago. The new northern exit route is less convenient, but also far less expensive.ES) The central Asian nations are charging a transport fee upwards of 12-hundred dollars per truck. That may sound pricey, but it pales in comparison to the outrageous 5-thousand dollars per truck being demanded by Pakistan - a price the US has refused to pay. The equipment will be shipped into Europe, and then flown home. The last of NATO_s troops will leave the region at the end of 2014.2. VS) Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Beijing on Tuesday with hopes of bolstering his country_s relations with China. Putin met with Chinese President Hu Jintao (jin-TOW) for discussions on a range of topics that will include energy cooperation and the volatile situation in Syria. Both Russia and China have been reluctant to interfere with the Assad regime_s crackdown on protesters.ES) Economic relations between the two have warmed considerably over the last decade. Bilateral trade hit 83-point-5 billion dollars last year, thanks mainly to partnership in the energy sector. The two nations have a goal of reaching 100 billion dollars in trade by 2015. The friendly efforts from Russia are thought to have something to do with the vast untapped resources in Siberia, and fears that China will look to gain control of the thinly populated region.3. VS) Four days of massive celebrations for Queen Elizabeth_s diamond jubilee came to a close on Tuesday, and the festivities were capped off in style After Monday_s fantastic concert that featured some of the biggest names in pop music, things took on a more formal tone on Tuesday.ES) The Queen led a parade through central London to Buckingham Palace, riding in a horse and carriage alongside Prince Charles and his wife Camilla. American authorities are one step closer to capturing those responsible for the US consulate attack in Benghazi. Libyan officials have singled out one man believed to be the leader of the group behind the assault. Eila Adams has more on this story and joins us now with the latest. Vic, according to Libyan authorities, witnesses at the scene say that Ahmed Abu Khattala was the man leading the charge. Khattala is a prominent figure of a militant group based out of Benghazi called Ansar al-Shariah. The group has many of the same puritanical and anti-western views as Al Qaeda. Libyan police have yet to bring Khattala in for questioning, however. Vic, US officials acknowledge that they_ve got their eye on Khattala, but still aren_t convinced that the attack was orchestrated by just one man.So if the Libyans are so confident of his involvement, why haven_t they brought him into custody yet?For one thing, the newly elected government there is still pretty shaky. Plus the military and police force aren_t exactly organized which makes it tough to coordinate operations. Well I_m sure if the Americans decide he_s their man, they_ll take care of things themselves, much appreciated Eila.The Libyan attack is, unfortunately, not the only terrorist activity on our radar today. A shocking story has emerged from New York City, where a suspected terrorist attempted to detonate a thousand-pound bomb in front of the Federal Reserve building in Manhattan. Luckily the FBI was able to thwart the plot. Katherine Curtis has been following this developing story. What_s the latest KatVic, a 21-year old Bangladeshi man has been arrested after attempting to blow up the building during morning rush hour. came to the US in January on a student visa. After arriving in New York City he allegedly tried to reach out to members of Al-Qaeda, but instead contacted an undercover FBI agent. The feds tracked Nafis for months, eventually supplying him with faulty explosives loaded into a cargo van. Authorities nabbed him right after he tried to detonate the bomb. They say there was never any risk to the public Vic.It_s quite the story Katherine. Do we know What kind of charges he_s looking at?Attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction, and attempting to provide material support to Al-Qaeda. About as serious as it gets.Some amazing work by the authorities here. One can only imagine the devastation had he been successful.
